Ecosolaris offers a smarter way to stay comfortable year-round while lowering energy costs with the 12,000 BTU Ecosolaris Solar Hybrid Mini-Split for cooling and heating.

By combining the efficiency of a heat pump with renewable solar energy, it offers users substantial savings over conventional central air conditioning or standard heat pump systems.

The heat pump is uniquely engineered to use sun power (direct current/DC) as its main energy source, seamlessly drawing from the grid (alternative current/AC) when solar power isn't sufficient or unavailable. This integrated hybrid DC/AC technology eliminates the need for an inverter, battery, or charge controller to convert DC to AC, making installation quick and easy. Simply connect your solar array to the outdoor unit using MC4-type connectors and solar cables, and start harnessing the sun’s free energy to efficiently cool and heat your space.

Key features include:

  • Hybrid DC/AC technology: designed to use DC power as its primary energy source, the heat pump is equipped with a hybrid power system and will seamlessly operate on both sun power (DC) and grid power (AC) (sun) and AC (grid) power, without requiring an inverter, battery, or charge controller.
  • Solar-only operating mode available: you can choose to use only solar power to run the heat pump, without connecting it to the grid. In this mode, the heat pump won’t work at night and during cloudy periods.
  • Battery backup operating mode available: for total grid independence, the heat pump can run on battery power, charged by solar energy. This guarantees continuous cooling or heating, even at night or during power outages, without any dependence on the grid.
  • Uses Eco-Friendly R32 refrigerant
  • Remote control & WiFi enabled (iOS & Android)
  • Auto, Cool, Heat, Fan, and Dry mode available
  • Energy Star, ETL, CETL and NRCAN certified
  • Greatest Efficiency Rating with a SEER2 rating of 23.40
  • The system is engineered to function reliably in temperatures ranging from -15°C (5°F) to 55°C (131°F) for year-round comfort, even in harsh climates
  • SSuggested solar power 900 watts to 1400 watts.  For off-grid use, aim for the higher end of this range (around 1400 W) to ensure reliable operation. In hybrid mode (solar + grid), less solar input is needed, so 900 W may be sufficient.
  • 5-Year Limited Warranty (professional installation required)
